upcycled heart pillows

 

For quite some time that I had these heart-shaped pillows, and I didn't used them, because I didn't like the touch of the fabric and didn't like the fact that they are brilliant.

Then I remembered to reuse a old pair of jeans, that I did not  wear (because they were damaged and stained with bleach) to give a more unique touch to the pillows.

Já há algum tempo que tinha estas almofadas em forma de coração, e não as usava porque não gostava do toque de tecido, nem do facto de serem brilhantes.
Foi então que me lembrei de reutilizar umas calças de ganga (que não usava porque estavam estragadas e manchadas com lixívia) para dar um toque mais original às ditas almofadas.

-I took the pair of pants and a leg separated from each other, cutting in half. (as you can see in this first image);

- I grabbed a trouser leg and open on the inside

(the second image);

* not set aside all parts of the seams, because they are made and you can use it as leveraged in order to save some work, and even in the own details of the pillows.

-peguei no par de calças e separei uma perna da outra, cortando no meio. (como podem ver nesta primeira imagem);

- peguei numa perna das calças e abri na parte interior 

(na segunda imagem) ;

*não separei todas as partes das costuras, porque as que estão feitas podem ser aproveitadas, de forma a poupar algum trabalho,  e até nos próprios pormenores das almofadas.

-I drew around the pillow leaving about 2.5 cm, all the way around, which will be needed to make the seams, and because the pillows have the volume,  so it's necessary to leave space for it (image 1) ;

- I cut the heart and chose which part I liked the most ... in this case I will use the inner part of the jeans, as fronts for my pillows. put pins on the pockets fabric (image 3) (so they do not leave the place);

-I put my the front of the heart, which had cut earlier, in what will become the other front of the heart (you can change and make a face with the other interior and outside of the pants, or both with the outside, or even use other scraps of material . ... it just depends on taste, materials and imagination of every one.) (Image 4). Draw and cut the heart. 

-Desenhei à volta da almofada deixando cerca de 2,5 centímetros a mais a toda a volta, que vão ser necessários para fazer as costuras, e porque as almofadas têm volume pelo que é necessário deixar espaço para ele.(imagem 1);

-Cortei e escolhi qual a parte que gostei mais... neste caso vou utilizar a parte interior das calças de ganga, como frentes para as minhas almofadas.(imagem 3) pus alfinetes no tecido

dos bolsos (para que não saiam do sitio);

-Pousei o coração com a frente sob o que será a outra frente da almofada (vocês podem

variar e fazer uma frente com o interior e outra com o exterior das calças, ou as duas com o exterior,ou até, usar outros bocados de tecido...isso só depende do gosto, materiais ou imaginação de cada um.) (imagem 4). Desenhe e corte o coração.

-sew the two sides of the pad, with zigzag sticht and, then straight stitch on top of that (leave the party making the semi-circle and a little more seamless fabric (picture 1)), to give enough space to turn the cover, and put the pillow inside (image 2);

-fold fabric was not sewn to the inside of the pillow and secure with pins, for make easyer to sew (image 3), pass the zigzag stitcht twice , and then straight stitch. That's it! (The final result below).

-costure as duas partes da almofada, com o ponto de zig-zag e depois ponto corrido (deixe a parte que faz o semi-círculo e mais um bocadinho de tecido sem costurar (imagem 1)), para dar espaço para virar a capa, e pôr a almofada dentro (imagem 2)

-dobre o tecido que não foi costurado, para o interior da almofada e segure com alfinetes, para facilitar quando fôr a costurar, passe duas vezes ponto de zigzag, e depois ponto corrido. E está pronto. (Resultado final em baixo)

*You can use this or a similar technique to modify any pillow around the house. even those older ... if nothing else, your pet thanks you :)

*podem utilizar esta técnica ou uma semelhante para modificar qualquer almofada que tenha por casa. até aquelas mais antigas...quanto mais não seja, o seu animal de estimação agradece :)
